Port of Spain - Tobago - Trinidad
Tour Overview
The Caribbean is a region of The Americas that consists of the Caribbean Sea, its islands and the surrounding coasts. Port of Spain, on Trinidad’s northwest coast, is the capital city of Trinidad and Tobago. It’s known for its huge Carnival, with calypso and Caribbean soca music. Bordering the expansive Queen’s Park Savannah, the Royal Botanic Gardens displays plants from all over the world. The gardens also encompass Emperor Valley Zoo.
Day 1: Arrive Port of Spain- Trinidad
Arrive at Trinidad – Port of Spain Airport. You will be met and transferred by a local representative to your hotel on Seat-In-Coach. Arrive at the hotel and check in. Rest of the day at leisure to explore this true Caribbean island offering travelers an unique experience from shopping, restaurants and bars, adventure, beaches, bird watching, bio diversity and lots more. Trinidad offers lots of adventure with rainforest hiking trails, limestone caves, hidden waterfalls, bird watching and turtle watching, cycling through the countryside or kayaking past wildlife filled mangrove forests. Or enjoy the swaying palm trees on sun-kissed beaches. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Port of Spain – City Highlights & Chaguaramas Museum
After breakfast, proceed on a city tour of Port of Spain - Visit Trinidad's highlights on this comprehensive, half-day guided tour. You'll pass by the lighthouse, the striking Parliament building known as the Red House as well as the Magnificent Seven, a row of imposing colonial houses originally built at the turn of the century as private residences. Departing here, we make our way back to the Queens Park Savannah and make our way to the scenic coastal roadway passing through Westmorings, Bayshore and Carenage, overlooked by Trinidad's Northern Range Mountains at one side and the Gulf of Paria on the other. This scenic roadway takes us by several secluded bays like St. Peters, Williams to name a few. On arrival in Chaguaramas, we drive through the interior passing old United States Naval Installations, a Golf Course, Shooting Range and several Marinas which some times has approximately 3,000 – 4,000 Yachts all toll. While in Chaguaramas we make our official stop at the Chaguaramas Military & Aviation Museum, where you will be given a guided 35-40 minutes tour of this institution that houses 500 years of Trinidad's History along with photos, maps, static displays and countless artifacts. Later you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Port of Spain – Scenic Drive & Beach Trip
Attractions: Maracas Beach
After breakfast, proceed to Maracas Beach, the most popular beach on the island where you can relax and unwind taking a swim in the soothing waters. However, before reaching Maracas take a stop at the Lookout where you will get a spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. A snack area and changing facilities are available. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Trinidad (Port of Spain) to Tobago
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Tobago. Arrive at Tobago airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore on your own. Tobago has the oldest protected rainforests in the Western Hemisphere. It also has unspoiled and secluded beaches with white sands, shallow bays, cool calm waters and shallow reefs for snorkeling.Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Tobago – Island Tour
Attractions: Historical Fort,Argyle Falls
After breakfast, proceed for an island tour of Tobago. During the tour you`ll visit the Historical Fort King George, where you get breath-taking views from this point. Continue the drive over to the Caribbean coast and up through the winding mountains, where you will enjoy more spectacular views as you look down on some of the village bays, such as Castara Bay, Englishman‟s Bay, and Parlatuvier Bay. Experience the heavenly feeling as you enter the water at Englishman‟s Bay for a short swim. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Tobago – Bird of Paradise
Attractions: Bird Of Paradise Island
After breakfast, join for a tour of a glass bottom boat and take a ride from the shores at Speyside across the Atlantic waters too beautiful 'BIRD OF PARADISE ISLAND' named after the bird which once inhabited the island. Accompanied by the guide, you will experience nature as never seen before, be amazed by the sight of, a variety of magnificent sea birds, plants, trees and a few reptiles. Enjoy snorkeling at the islands best reef 'Angel Reef and Japanese garden' where you may get the opportunity to see the largest brain coral in the Caribbean. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Tobago – Buccoo Reef
Attractions: Buccoo Reef
After breakfast, proceed for a tour of Buccoo Reef - Snorkel, swim, suntan & soak in the pool and gardens - Hop on board our glass bottom boat and enjoy a short ten-minute ride to the reef to view some of the world's most spectacular fishes. Across at the gardens, see great formations of various coral plants and sea shrubs. Then it's over to the Nylon pool. Submerge yourself into the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, only to discover the best of the under water world as you swim and snorkel to your hearts desire and enjoy the warmth of this shallow pool, found nowhere else in the world but right where you are. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Depart Tobago
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
