Tour Overview
Canada is a North American country stretching from the U.S. in the south to the Arctic Circle in the north. Major cities include massive Toronto, west coast film centre Vancouver, French-speaking Montréal and Québec City, and capital city Ottawa. Canada's vast swaths of wilderness include lake-filled Banff National Park in the Rocky Mountains. It's also home to Niagara Falls, a famous group of massive waterfalls.Located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, Toronto is a city that has undergone a major transformation in the second half of the twentieth century, evolving from a staid, conservative, largely Anglo-Saxon enclave to a dynamic, multiethnic metropolis that is one of north americas major cities. Throughout, it has retained an enviable degree of livability, boasting safe streets and a clean, efficient subway system amid restored Victorian houses and a renovated waterfront. Toronto's leaders have worked successfully to protect the city's heritage and its residents' quality of life from the effects of unrestrained development, even as Toronto has continued to grow into a major financial and cultural center.
Day 1:
Arrive Toronto - Niagara Falls Arrive at Toronto International Airport, Travel through the towns of Hamilton, St. Catharine‟s and the wine region of the Niagara Peninsula. Niagara is very popular and overlooks the „Horseshoe Falls‟, the cascades' most expansive section. Arrive at your Niagara hotel, check in. Rest of the date leisure. The Canadian section of Niagara Falls, including the dramatic Horseshoe Falls, is its most famous feature. Dozens of wineries along the north's Wine Route offer tours and tastings featuring ice wine as the local specialty. Take full advantage of the Falls attractions experience. Sail up to the brink of the Falls, walk behind them, and fly over them in a helicopter. Overnight at Niagara hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast, proceed to the Table Rock Center to avail your „Niagara Falls Adventure Pass‟. Experience the awesome power, thundering roar and amazing mist of the mighty Niagara Falls! Onboard the cruise. View the American, Bridal Veil and Canadian Horseshoe Falls up close and personal. (Cruise sails every 15 minutes in season till 30th November, 2017). The Adventure Pass also includes „Journey Behind The Falls‟ a year-round attraction which offers an unique view of the Falls from below and behind. The visit takes about 45 minutes, visitors descend 150 ft. by elevator, where a short tunnel (150 ft.) gives access to two outdoor observation decks and two portals located directly behind the Falls. At Journey Behind the Falls, you`ll experience the awesome spectacle of one-fifth of the world‟s fresh water crashing down to the basin below. „Niagara‟s Fury‟ – Niagara Parks has recreated the amazing sights and sounds of the formation of the Falls, discover the ancient story of the Falls, the temperature will drop. Also experience the „White Water Walk‟ - see how the deep and narrow Great Gorge was created. Trillions of gallons of water are forced into this accelerating trough. Discover Raging White Water! The White Water walk is like no other, along a boardwalk at the very edge of one of the world's wildest stretches of whitewater! Late evening, check out form hotel and proceed back to Toronto. Arrive at Toronto hotel and check in. Toronto, the capital city of Ontario is a dynamic metropolis along Lake Ontario, with soaring skyscrapers and the popular CN Tower. Toronto also has many green spaces from the Queens Park to 400 acre High Park and its trails, sports and zoo. Lots of things to do for families – at the Toronto Zoo, the largest in Canada and the largest in the world with 500+animal species, see pandas and polar bears or see the Bat Cave at the Royal Ontario Museum. Try some new cuisine – Toronto has many different restaurants. The Harbourfront area always has something going on with boat cruises in summer, ferries to the Toronto island run all year round and give you the best view of the skyline. Visit the iconic CN Tower which is the world‟s second tallest structure at 553 metres and on a clear day the views from the top are really amazing. There is also a revolving restaurant on top. Visit the Royal Ontario Museum with its sprawling natural history and world cultures gallery plus dinosaurs in the Libeskind crystal wing. Then visit „Casa Loma‟ – a grand 18th century castle and gardens which are open seasonally. There are many other attractions not to be missed like – „Hockey Hall of Fame‟ – a vast collection of hockey memorabilia including interactive games, „Art Gallery of Ontario‟ – a huge masterworks collection, Visit „Chinatown‟ – an ethnic enclave in Downtown Toronto with a high concentration of ethnic Chinese residents also filled with colourful shops and delightful places to sample a wide variety of Chinese cuisine. Evening one can walk on the Waterfront Toronto which is the lake shore of Lake Ontario. There are year round arts programmes here with renowned events and world-class performances. Day 3:
Toronto After breakfast, proceed for a comprehensive city tour of Toronto. Experience the sights and sounds of this cosmopolitan city, includes: Eaton Center – the city‟s most popular attraction, with its huge array of shops and restaurants in a soaring, historic mall with a glass ceiling with over 250 retailers in fashion, furniture and electronics, the selection here is unbeatable. Then visit the „Toronto City Hall‟ which is the seat of the municipal government of Toronto and one of the city‟s most distinctive landmarks. Proceed to „Casa Loma‟ which is a Gothic revival style house and gardens in midtown and is now a museum and a landmark. Explore the spectacular grounds of Toronto‟s premier historic landmark. The Estate Gardens of Casa Loma have a wide variety of speciality garden areas in a unique and balanced setting. Then visit „Yorkville‟ an affluent neighbourhood in Toronto. Within the Yorkville district is one of Canada's most exclusive shopping districts, anchored by the Mink Mile along Bloor Street. Then visit „The University of Toronto‟ which is a public research university on the grounds that surround Queen's Park. Pass by the „Rogers Centre‟, the CN Tower and drive along the „Harbourfront‟. Late afternoon is free at leisure for enjoying optional activities like – taking a harbour cruise, Ripley‟s Aquarium – located at the base of the CN Tower in the heart of the entertainment district with interactive underwater exhibits and beautiful and exotic inhabitants, experience the thrill of „EdgeWalk‟, a thrilling hands-free walk around the outside ledge of the CN Tower, take a short scenic ferry ride over to Toronto islands which provides a wonderful view of the city skyline with beaches, picnic areas, canoeing and kayaking, one can visit the „St. Lawrence Market‟ ranked by National Geographic as the world‟s best food market with great picnic fare and edible souvenirs, or visit the „Distillery Historic District‟ recognized as a National Historic Site with cobblestone lanes and Victorian era buildings, it was Toronto‟s first distillery–which produced almost half of Ontario‟s total spirit production in 1871–and is now home to high-end boutiques, art galleries and restaurants. Day 4:
Toronto - Ottawa After breakfast, check out of hotel and proceed on own to Toronto Union Station to board VIA Rail to Ottawa. Pass through quaint little towns along Lake Ontario, the historic city of Kingston and the Thousand Islands region. On arrival proceed to hotel on own. Rest of the day at leisure, to explore the charm of Canada‟s Capital City. Sitting on the Ottawa River, it has at its centre Parliament Hill, with grand Victorian architecture and museums like the National Gallery of Canada, with noted collections of indigenous and other Canadian art. The park-lined Rideau Canal is filled with boats in summer. See the Parliament Hill – Neo-Gothic home of Canada‟s Legislature, Rideau Canal – long historic waterway with skating, National Gallery of Canada – art museum with many Canadian works, Canadian Aviation & Space Museum, or take a Hop-On Hop-Off city tour and a 75 minutes cruise on the Rideau Canal, enjoy a photo stop at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, enjoy spectacular views of the southern banks of the Ottawa River, see world-class exhibitions; and, soak in Ottawa‟s natural beauty. Evening, one can wander the ByWard Market, one of Canada‟s oldest and largest public markets. International retailers have opened alongside chic boutiques owned and operated by locals. Then try a little retail therapy at CF Rideau Centre, the region‟s premiere shopping centre. Ottawa is home to three culinary schools including Le Cordon Bleu and their exquisite Signature restaurants. Ottawa has many dining places to suit all tastes – restaurants with romantic settings, high roof top restaurants and the greenspaces and waterways and modern architecture provide a stunning backdrop for delicious eats. Ottawa has many adventure activities – discover the thrill of whitewater rafting, bike along the famous Rideau Canal, enjoy a leisure walk in Gatineau Park also referred to as “Ottawa‟s Playground”. Evening enjoy at the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau which has more than 1800 slot machines and 64 gaming tables in a smoke-free environment. Day 5:
Ottawa - Montreal After breakfast, check out and keep luggage in the lobby. Proceed for Ottawa City Tour (Hop On Hop Off). Ottawa is a cosmopolitan city with Victorian architecture and renowned museums with noted collections from various artistes. Proceed to see form outside only - the Parliament Hill and Government buildings, Canadian War Museum, National Gallery of Canada, Royal Canadian Mint, National Arts Centre, Canadian Museum of History and lots more. Drive along the scenic Rideau Canal - in the warmer months, the canal is a haven for walkers, runners, in-line skaters and cyclists, who stroll along its scenic, rolling green banks. It is also a beautiful, flowing waterway connecting Kingston, Ontario, to Ottawa, which is used regularly by boaters and paddlers alike. Whether it is tourists out on a scenic walk or a guided boat cruise, or a local resident out for a morning run, the canal is always buzzing with activity on a bright sunny day. Then proceed back to your hotel to collect your luggage and then in afternoon proceed to Ottawa Station (own arrangements) to board the VIA Rail to Montreal. Arrive at Montreal proceed to hotel (own arrangements). Check in at hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Montréal is the largest city in Canada's Québec province. It‟s set on an island in the Saint Lawrence River and named after Mt. Royal, the triple-peaked hill at its heart. Rest of the day at leisure to explore on own. The city is captivating, chic, cosmopolitan, and few can resist the charm of this smart city. You can see its European heritage in the beautiful 18th century buildings. Food, from the scrumptious patisseries to local pints and luscious produce to the ever-popular poutine, is enjoyed heartily and happily. Cafés, bars, clubs, galleries, museums and boutiques crowd the streets. Montreal has an impressive number of restaurants and numerous culinary events. The city plays host to numerous events all year long ranging from music, comedy, art, films, the International Jazz Festival, sports events, fashion and much more. Montréal is a huge and eclectic shopping mecca. Montreal has fascinating programmes and museums for kids of all ages and is a complete family destination. Montréal‟s Space for Life is Canada‟s largest natural science museum conglomerate, which includes the Botanical Garden (flora), the Biodôme (fauna), the Insectarium (bugs), and the all-new Planetarium (stars). Day 6:
Montreal After breakfast proceed on sightseeing tour of Montreal. Highlights of this fully-narrated tour area include: a photostop at the beautiful Notre Dame (entrance not included), a Basilica renowned for its finest Gothic Revival architecture with extra ordinary rich interior decoration, the residential and financial districts, proceed to see the historic Old Montreal, an outside view of the Olympic Complex, St. Joseph Oratory (photo stop), a view of the campus of McGill University and a panoramic view from an observation point on top of Mont Royal. Rest of the day at leisure on own – suggestions: Biodome – located at the Olympic Park, and allows visitors to walk through replicas of four eco systems found in the Americas. The Montreal Biodome is one of four facilities that make part of the largest natural science museum complex in Canada, Space for Life, which also includes the Montreal Insectarium, Montreal Botanical Garden, and Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium. The Montreal Biodome is an indoor zoo, an aquarium and a botanical garden wrapped into one, a series of indoor ecological systems which recreate regions in the Americas, showcasing animal species as well as plant life indigenous to each area. The Biodome is effectively one of the only places in the world that replicates all four seasons indoors at the same time, attracting roughly 800,000 visitors every year. One can also enjoy the spectacular jet boating on the St Lawrence River. The spectacular 1 hour ride is wet, wild and wonderful and not to be missed. Another popular attraction is the Montreal Tower Observatory standing 540 feet tall and at a 45 degrees angle, get spectacular views from this tallest inclined tower in the world. At a supplement cost, you can also take an exciting 20 minutes helicopter flight over Montreal. Observe the Olympic Stadium, Downtown Montreal, Mont Royal, Parc Jean Drapeau, Jacques Cartier Bridge and the St Lawrence river from a unique perspective. Overnight at hotel in Montreal.
Day 7:
Montreal After breakfast, proceed on full-day excursion to Quebec City, the provincial capital and discover the historical treasures and wonderful “joie de vivre” atmosphere of the city. A professional guide will take you on 45 minute walking tour through Place Royale, the birth place of French Civilization in North America. Tour highlights include visit the UNESCO listed Old Quebec, the Upper & Lower Towns, the Parliament Buildings, the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, Chateau Frontenac, Place d‟Armes, Quebec National Assembly, the Notre Dame Basilica. Learn about Quebec City‟s fascinating French-Canadian history from a guide. Enjoy free time to wander through Old Quebec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then follow Avenue Royale through the traditional villages and farms of the Beaupre Coast, approximately 15 minutes north of Québec City to visit Montmorency Falls, an 83-meter-high / 272 feet tall waterfall on the Montmorency River (it‟s 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls). The yellow cast of the falls comes from the high iron content of the riverbed. On summer nights, the plunging water and its surrounding cove is illuminated. Stairs ascend from here to the top, 487 in sum, with viewing platforms along the way. At the top, a footbridge spans the water where it flows over the cliff. If you don‟t want to walk to the top, a cable car runs from the parking lot to a terminal alongside the falls, with a pathway that leads close the water‟s edge. The falls form at the mouth of the Montmorency River, where it drops over a cliff into the St. Lawrence River. On summer nights, the plunging water is illuminated; during July and August, the falls are enhanced by a spectacular international fireworks competition. Montmorency Falls is surrounded by Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, where visitors can see the falls while having a picnic. If you want to get a close-up view of the falls, you can take the staircase, which takes you from top to bottom, or take a suspension bridge over the crest of the falls, which enables you to see both sides of the park as well as the thundering water. Late evening you will be transferred back to Montreal. Overnight at hotel in Montreal.

Depart Montreal After breakfast, morning at leisure. Afternoon check out and transfer to Montreal Airport to connect flight to onward destination
