Day 1: Arrive Colombo - Kandy

Attractions: The Temple of The Tooth,Commonwealth War Cemetery,Kandy Lake

Arrive at Colombo International airport and proceed to Kandy. Afternoon do a city tour of Kandy.It famed for its sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) shrine, and for its Esala Perahera annual procession. Visit The Temple of The Tooth, Commonwealth War Cemetery, the Kandy Lake, Kandy View Point, Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue, Royal Palace of Kandy and lots mote to see and do.
The Udawattakelle Sanctuary - one of Kandy’s green areas, has been a site of importance since the 14th century. The sanctuary covering 257 acres of land is home to a variety of animals, birds and insects. Lankatilaka Temple, Gadaladeniya Temple, Embekke Temple and the Hindu Shrines are some of the ancient temples that are worth a visit. Visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens spread across 60 hectares of sheer greenery - Sri Lanka’s largest botanic gardens. There are large variety of plants ornaments, useful machines and other creepers that produce the special spices at Sri Lanka. The best known attraction of these Gardens is the Orchid House which has about 300 varieties of delicate orchids. Overnight at hotel in Kandy.
 

Day 2: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Attractions: Anjaneyar Temple

After breakfast, morning visit the Temple of Tooth Relic. Then proceed to Pussawella. Legend says ancient kings of Gampola Kingdom established by the great King Buvanekabahu IV. (1341–1357) when threatened by enemies used to hide among in the inaccessible terrain around Pussellawa and Kothmale. These inaccessible terrains later became the world best known Tea Plantations. Visit the Anjaneyar Temple - Srimath Chandrasekara swamigal established First Temple in Sri Lanka and a first chariot in the world for Sri Rama’s beloved devotee Anjaneyar. Swamigal while he working as purchasing officer at Swed. Lanka Engineering Ltd also be performed Anjaneyar’s prayer at home in Ranajeyagama Dehiwala. He Shifted to 75 1/1, Allen Avenue Dehiwala. Overnight at hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya – Bandarawela

Attractions: Seetha Amman Temple,Hakgala Botanical Gardens,Isthiripura cave,Divurumpola Temple,Ravana Ella waterfalls

After breakfast, visit Seetha Amman Temple located approx 5 kms from Nuwara Eliya. This place is believed to be the site where Sita was held captive by Ravana and where she prayed daily for Rama to come and rescue her in the Hindu epic. Also visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens, this is also where Sita was kept by Ravana, In the folklores, it says Sri Lankan demon King Ravana after abducting Sita, kept her hidden in this area and area was offered to Sita as a pleasure garden, the place finds mention in the Ramayana as Ashok Vatika. The area was named as "Sita Eliya" and "Sita Amman Temple" was built on the site. Then proceed to Isthiripura cave where Sita was kept prisoner. Then proceed to Divurumpola Temple where Sita performed Agni Pariksha (proving her purety). In the afternoon transfer to Bandarawela. Visit Ravana Ella waterfalls and Ravana Caves and the first place Ravana hid Sita. Overnight at hotel in Bandarawela.

Day 4: Bandarawela – Colombo

Attractions: Ratnapura Gem Museum,Seetawaka Botanical Garden

After breakfast, proceed to Colombo via visiting a gem mine in Ratnapura which is also called the fabulous city of gems. The Ratnapura Gem Museum holds a breathtaking display of samples of precious and semi-precious stones - gem workshops will give you the opportunity to see a variety of precious stone, such as rubies, sapphires, cat’s eyes, alexandrites, aquamarines, tourmalines, spinels, topaz, garnets, amethyst, zircons etc. You could also visit one of the gem mines. Then visit Seetawaka Botanical Garden. Reach Colombo and do a city and shopping tour. Overnight at hotel in Colombo.

Day 5: Colombo – Negombo

Attractions: Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara,Muneeswaran Temple,Manavari Temple

After breakfast, check out and first visit Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara – a temple and a special shrine dedicated to Vibhushana, King Ravana’s brother. It is known for the Buddhist temple built on the banks of the Kelani River, which runs through the suburb. It is also a religious center for veneration of the figures, Vibhishana and Guanyin. Then transfer to Muneeswaran Temple and Manavari Temple - Manavari is the first lingam installed and prayed by Lord Rama and till date this lingam is called as Ramalinga Shivan. Rameshwaram is the only other lingam in the world named after Lord Rama. Overnight at hotel in Negombo.

Day 6: Depart Negombo – Colombo

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Colombo airport for your departure flight.
