Baku
Tour Overview
Azerbaijan, the nation and former Soviet republic, is bounded by the Caspian Sea and Caucasus Mountains, which span Asia and Europe. Baku, the capital and commercial hub of Azerbaijan, is a low-lying city with coastline along the Caspian Sea. It's famed for its medieval walled old city, which contains the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a vast royal complex, and the iconic stone Maiden Tower. Contemporary landmarks include the Zaha Hadid–designed Heydar Aliyev Center, and the Flame Towers, 3 pointed skyscrapers covered with LED screens.
Day 1: Baku
Attractions: Upland Park,Flag Square,Seaside Boulevard,Torgovy street,Fountains Square
Arrival at Haydar Aliyev International Airport and welcoming by our company representative.Transfer and check-in at hotel. Flames of Baku evening excursion - Excursion starts from the Upland Park that overlooks a spectacular view of nightlife city sparkling with bright lights. It is the best spot to observe the city itself and the Baku Bay. The Flame Towers, trio of skyscrapers located at the Upland Park impress the guests with their fascinating modernity and elegance - Night promenade on Baku Boulevard starting from Flag Square and passing by Baku Ferris Wheel. Seaside Boulevard is one of the main attractions of the capital. Tour ends with walking tour on Torgovy street and Fountains Square. Transfer to hotel Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Baku
Attractions: Caravanserais and Mosques,Maiden Tower,Museum of Miniature Books
Breakfast at hotel. Baku city tour Excursion starts in the old part of the city, at the entrance to the Twin Castle Gates (Gosha Gala) and continues through narrow streets. Old City encircles a number of historic-architectural monuments including the followings: Caravanserais and Mosques, Maiden Tower – ancient symbol of the city (V-VII centuries), Museum of Miniature Books – included into Guinness World Records in 2015, Shirvanshah’s Palace (XII-XV centuries) with over thousand years old history. Lunch at Indian restaurant. Then visit modern Baku. The tour covers the central part of the city accenting mainly on historical and architectural sites of interest: Modern and old buildings at Seafront Boulevard - Carpet Museum, International Mugham Center, Minor Venice, Old Parachute Tower), Architectural buildings located at the Caspian coast Excursion ends with a visit to Haydar Aliyev Centre - an internationally recognized architectural work, the building of the Center has become a signature landmark of modern Baku due to its innovative and cutting-edge design. Dinner at Indian restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Baku
Attractions: Fire Temple of Baku Ateshgah
Breakfast at hotel. Trip to Ateshgah, fire worshipper’s temple located in Surakhany settlement. The temple is one of the many indicators about existence of Zoroastrianism in ancient Azerbaijan.Then visit to Yanardagh burning mount near the Digah settlement. From 5th century on Yanardagh had been referred in ancient historic books. Lunch at Indian restaurant. After lunch shopping tour at local spice bazaar, traditional sweets shop and mall. Dinner at Indian restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Departure
Breakfast and check-out from hotel. Transfer to airport.
