Tour Overview

The Town of Banff incorporated as a municipality in 1990 and was the first municipality in Canada to be incorporated inside a national park. The only other national park community in Canada is the Municipality of Jasper, in Jasper National Park, incorporated in 2001. 
Lake Louise is world famous for its turquoise lakes, the Victoria Glacier, soaring mountain backdrop, palatial hotel, and incredible hiking and skiing. Surrounded by a lifetime’s worth of jaw-dropping sights and adventures, Lake Louise is a rare place that must be experienced to be believed.
Jasper, an alpine town in Canada’s Alberta province, is the commercial centre of Jasper National Park. Amid the snow-capped Canadian Rockies, the park has glacier-fed lakes, forests and rivers. The Jasper SkyTram climbs to the summit of Whistlers Mountain, with views of downtown. The Jasper Yellowhead Museum and Archives presents exhibits on the fur trade, railway and early exploration of the park.
Kamloops is a Canadian city in British Columbia, where the North and South Thompson rivers meet. Sun Peaks Resort’s hiking trails, bike park and numerous ski runs lie to the northeast.

Day 1: Banff

Arrive at Calgary. On arrival transfer from Calgary Airport to Banff. On arrival in Banff, check in at your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to explore the famous Banff Avenue. Travel is a great opportunity to nourish your body and soul, especially in a place like Banff and Lake Louise where you are surrounded by such majestic natural beauty - it's difficult to not feel inspired here. Amongst the pristine wilderness, vibrant townships, and inherent peacefulness of the landscape, you will find relaxation and rejuvenation. Banff has a rich heritage as one of the world’s most awe-inspiring mountain destinations. With easy access to pristine wilderness, endless outdoor adventures, jaw-dropping sights, and a vibrant history and culture, there is a lifetime's worth of things to do in Banff. Day 2: Banff – Lake Louise

Attractions: Tunnel Mountain,Bow Falls,Lake Minnewanka

After breakfast, check out and keep luggage in the lobby. Then proceed for Explore Banff Tour – the resort town of Banff is set amongst the towering mountains, of Rundle Tunnel, Tunnel Mountain trail with views of Banff Springs Golf Course, although it is the smallest mountain in Banff, Tunnel Mountain offers spectacular views of the valley and panoramas over the town of Banff, views of Cascade and Norquay. Highlights include: Bow Falls: Not like your typical waterfalls, the Bow Falls is wide and short. You might feel some mist from the waterfalls during the mid-summer due to the high water levels. You can also see the valley that was eroded by glacier activity and the Bow river over the years. Then explore Tunnel Mountain Drive – a scenic route to drive around, from the view point you can see the town of Banff, visit the Surprise Corner - this is the spot where most of the famous pictures have been taken of the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel! As you drive the Tunnel Mountain road from town, you get to Surprise Corner where it opens up suddenly and you can see the Banff Springs Hotel on your right. You may have seen this view somewhere already. typically in a book or on a postcard. The best time to take pictures here is late morning or mid-day. Then see ‘Hoodoos’ - Hoodoos are composed sedimentary rock covered by harder rock that is harder to erode. Once softer sediment erodes rock needle, or tower like natural obstacles are left. To get there, drive up Tunnel Mountain road from the town. There are few guard rails so please be careful. Hoodoos can be seen below you down in the valley. You may see some people walking under the Hoodoos. There is no official trail to get there and you need good shoes that have excellent grip if you want to go. Then see the ‘Two Jack Viewpoint’. And proceed to ‘Lake Minnewanka’ (home of the Banff Crasher Squirrel), lies in the Banff National Park, take the Banff Lake Cruise open mid May – mid October, enjoy a 60 minutes scenic cruise, Enjoy entertaining and informative narration as you travel through the spectacular scenery of the Canadian Rockies. Then take a gentle ride in the Banff Gondola which gives outstanding panoramic views of Banff and the Canadian Rockies from 7486 feet. Enjoy the 8 minute ride to top of the world where there are dining options, hiking trails and observation decks at the Summit of Sulphur Mountain. Restaurants are open year round here so enjoy the views. Later in the afternoon, transfer from Banff to Lake Louise, known for its turquoise, glacier-fed lake ringed by high peaks and overlooked by a stately chateau. Overnight in Lake Louise hotel.

Day 3: Lake Louise - Jasper

Attractions: Icefields Parkway,National Park,Athabasca Glacier,Wildlife

After breakfast, check out and travel through the Icefields Parkway – Canada’s most scenic mountain roadway, a route to glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. Continue north to cross the boundary between Banff and Jasper national parks. Now you’re into the Columbia Icefield. Plan to stop at the Glacier Discovery Centre and board an Ice Explorer that will take you up onto the Athabasca Glacier, where you can walk on ice up to 360 m (1,180 ft) thick. For stunning aerial views of glittering glaciers and rugged mountain peaks, take the five-minute shuttle from the Discovery Centre to the Glacier Skywalk, a glass-floored observation platform suspended 280 m (919 ft) over the glacier-formed Sunwapta Valley, get an unobstructed view of the surrounding glaciers. Continue along the Parkway to the Crowfoot Glacier, on the south end of Bow Lake. Watch for wildlife such as deer, moose, elk, bighorn sheep and mountain goats. Then move onto Peyto Lake - Your next quintessential Canadian Rockies photo opportunity is Peyto Lake, a few minutes further north. Take the easy 10-minute stroll along a paved trail to the viewpoint. It’s the highest elevation on the Parkway and offers spectacular views of the glacial valley and gorgeous lake below. And then proceed to Bow Lake - Just up the road is the best Bow Lake lookout where you can get an excellent shot of the historic Num-Ti-Jah Lodge across the sparkling turquoise lake. Nestled on a shoreline of evergreens, the iconic log and stone chalet with crimson roof was built by legendary pioneer and mountaineer Jimmy Simpson. Continue alongside the Sunwapta River and take a stroll at Athabasca Falls before a late afternoon arrival at Jasper. Overnight at hotel in Jasper.

Day 4: Jasper

Attractions: Maligne Lake,Maligne Canyon

After breakfast proceed on Explore Jasper Tour – Jasper’s beauty and history is set amid some of the most rugged peaks in the Rockies. Highlights include Jasper town site see the town, then proceed to the Athabasca Viewpoint, then discover the beautiful Maligne Lake - Set amongst the towering Canadian Rockies, Maligne Lake is famed for it's azure-blue, glacial waters and Spirit Island, one of the most photographed spots in North America. You can take a boat tour on the Lake. Then proceed to Maligne Canyon and stroll along 50 metres walls and learn about its unique underground water system. Drive 10 minutes north of Jasper for an ice-walk adventure you won't soon forget. Named for its haunting atmosphere, Maligne Canyon is the deepest canyon in the park. The hardiest souls climb its sheets of ice, but anyone can strap on anti-slip cleats to venture through the frozen canyon. At an additional cost you can experience the Maligne Canyon Icewalk - our guide will lead you safely along the frozen canyon floor through its maze of fascinating ice sculptures. Explore the entrance to a cave system, ice caves, fossils and towering frozen waterfalls stretching over 30m up the canyon walls. Afternoon is free for enjoying optional activities – white water rafting, Jasper Skytram – fly above and besides the Rocky Mountains on the Skytram in a comfortable and safe compartment, 2277 metres above the ground. Cruise on Maligne Lake – take a Lake Boat Tour - Maligne Lake is world-renowned for its breathtaking beauty and is one of the most photographed places in the Canadian Rockies. A professional photographer will show you how to capture the beauty of Spirit Island and the azure colours of the surrounding lake. Day 5: Jasper - Kamloops

Attractions: Rocky Mountaineer Rail,Cariboo Mountains,Mount Robson,Pyramid Falls

Early morning check out and transfer to Jasper station to travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer Rail from Jasper to Kamloops. Enjoy world class hospitality onboard. You will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Highlights include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, the climb over the Yellowhead Pass and the journey along the North Thompson River. Day 6: Kamloops – Vancouver

Today morning continue your journey west towards the coastal city of Vancouver. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. On arrival in Vancouver, transfer to the hotel. Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest, most ethnically diverse cities. A popular filming location, it’s surrounded by mountains, and also has thriving art, theatre and music scenes. Vancouver Art Gallery is known for its works by regional artists, while the Museum of Anthropology houses preeminent First Nations collections. Visit attractions on your own – Listen to interesting commentary as you wind through vibrant neighborhoods and tree-lined paths in Stanley Park, spend time exploring Granville Island's public market and galleries by foot, other tours like whale watching tours, whitewater paddle trip, Sea to Sky Gondola ticket, Seaplane flight, Britannia Mine Museum, Trolley hop-on- hop-off tours, visit Chinatown and Gastown, Soak up 360-degree views of Vancouver from atop the Vancouver Lookout. Day 7: Vancouver

After breakfast, proceed for tour of – Grouse Mountain - Escape to the picturesque alpine landscape just outside Vancouver with the admission to Grouse Mountain, a cultural and outdoor park that's perfect for the whole family. Enjoy the chance to observe endangered animals like owls and bears, or watch the park's collection of birds of prey as they soar through the air. You can also enjoy a ride on one of the longest aerial trams in North America, go snowshoeing, and watch a lumberjack show, plus much more. Ride on the park's peak chairlift. At an additional cost one can enjoy zip lining in the Grouse Mountain. Hop aboard the Peak Chairlift (summer only) and Sky ride aerial tram (all year) for gorgeous views of Vancouver. Then proceed to where nature and history abound at the 27- acre Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, just minutes from the bustle of downtown Vancouver. Set within the unique environment of British Columbia’s cedar-scented rainforest, the Capilano Suspension Bridge, Treetops Adventure, and brand new Cliffwalk allow you to delve into nature’s beauty while kicking up the adrenaline. Originally built in 1889, the 450 foot long Capilano Suspension Bridge soars 230 feet above the Capilano River and is your gateway to the forest beyond. Take your time crossing this magnificent structure while enjoying the spectacular view of the canyon and river below. Upon reaching the other side you’ll discover the Treetops Adventure, a series of seven interconnected suspension bridges that travel high above the forest floor through the lush evergreen foliage of towering Douglas firs. Viewing platforms nestled into the tree canopy give you a squirrel’s eye view of a thriving coastal forest. But for a real thrill, the awe-inspiring Cliffwalk is not to be missed. New for 2011, this amazing walkway juts out from the granite cliff of Capilano Canyon and takes guests to areas of the park that were previously unexplored. High and narrow, Cliffwalk is not for the feint of heart. A series of cantilevered, suspended walkways hug the face of the cliff and in some sections, a path of glass is all that separates you from the canyon below. Beyond these main activities, there are plenty of ways to explore the rich history and unique ecosystem of the park. Interactive displays and informative panels offer insight into the forest’s ecology with fun facts and identification clues. Guided history tours are offered hourly and are a great way to learn about the park’s colorful past. A stroll through majestic evergreens and past tranquil ponds with one of the park’s naturalists is a fantastic way to learn about the flora and fauna of the old growth rainforest and discovery the mysteries of this unique Vancouver environment. Later in the afternoon visit FlyOver Canada, a 4D show experiencing a gentle ride. Chairlift-style seats are elevated before a large spherical screen creating an illusion of flying over the landscapes. Overnight at hotel in Vancouver.

Day 8: Vancouver

Attractions: Canada Place,Robson Street for shopping,English Bay,Granville Island

After breakfast, check out and keep the luggage in the hotel lobby. Proceed for a city tour of Vancouver – explore the spectacular waterfront landmarks including Canada Place, Robson Street for shopping, English Bay, Stanley Park, Granville Island etc. Taking sightseeing to the next level, enjoy the incredible views from the top of the Harbour Centre Tower where you board a glass elevator for a 360 degree view at Vancouver Lookout observation deck. Arrive back to hotel and then proceed to Vancouver Airport for your departure flight.
