Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by cedar forests on the edge of the Himalayas, this hillside city is home to the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government-in-exile. The Thekchen Chöling Temple Complex is a spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism, while the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives houses thousands of precious manuscripts.

Day 1: Chandigarh - Dharamshala

Attractions: Kangra Valley,McLeodGanj,Bhagsunath, Dharamkot, Naddi, ForsythGanj, Kotwali Bazaar

  Arrival at Amritsar Airport /Railway Station. our representative would assist you and check in at Hotel. After that you will take direct drive to Dharamshala. Upon arrival check in at hotel and rest of the as leisure.

Dharamshala is a city in the upper reaches of the Kangra Valley and is surrounded by dense coniferous forest consisting mainly of stately Deodar cedar trees. The suburbs include McLeodGanj, Bhagsunath, Dharamkot, Naddi, ForsythGanj, Kotwali Bazaar (the main market).

The village of McLeodGanj, lying in the upper reaches, is known worldwide for the presence of the Dalai Lama. On 29 April 1959, the 14th Dalai Lama (Tenzin Gyatso) established the Tibetan exile administration in the north Indian hill station of Mussoorie. In May 1960, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) was moved to Dharamshala.

Day 2: Dharamshala Sightseeing

Attractions: various Monasteries,Mcleodganj,residence of the Dalai Lama,Library of Tibetan Works & Archives,ST. JOHN’S,

Morning Post Breakfast, we will Start our city Tour of Dharamsala including various Monasteries and Mcleodganj often called Little Lhasa and the residence of the Dalai Lama, which has been here for over three decades. The monastery has larger-than-life images of the Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avalokteshwara. Also visit ST. JOHN’S, the charming dressed stone church in the wilderness, “Residence of the Dalai Lama” The Dalai Lama lives on the south edge of town. He came to Dharamsala in the year 1960 and since then, he has been living here only. Most of his house has been transformed into government offices, while he occupies only a small portion of the entire complex and “Library of Tibetan Works & Archives” There is also a library of Tibetan works and archives in Dharamsala. It comprises of a rich collection of almost 40 % of the original Tibetan manuscripts. There is also a photographic archive in the library. Bhagsunag-  It is one of the best tourist attractions in Dharamshala and is known for its old temple, a fresh water spring, and slate quarry a waterfall surrounded by stunning cliffs and trees. Tourists can take a dip in the chilly water of this fall and visit the Bhagsunag temple to seek blessing of Lord Shiva. The Bhagsunag Fall falls on the way to Triund, so the tourists can continue with their journey to Triund once they visit this elegant fall. Bhagsunag Fall is located only 2 kms from Mcleoganj.

Day 3: Dharamshala -Dalhousie // 03 Hrs Drive

Morning Post Brakfast at hotel and check out. Later drive to Dalhousie. Afternoon go for a short beautiful drive through dense deodar trees to view the snowcovered peaks of high Himalayan ranges. Afternoon take a  short walk on the Mall in Dalhousie.

Day 4: Dalhousie - Khajiar - Dalhousie

 After breakfast go for a full day excursion to Kalatop and Khajiar.  A short 3 kms walk inside Kalatop wildlife sanctuary is a highlight of the day. Once you reach Kalatop you have superb view of the snow covered peaks of Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas.  Continue drive to Khajiar.  Spend time walking on the Khajiar meadows and later drive back to Dalhousie 

 Overnight stay at Dalhousie.

Day 5: Dalhousie -Pathankot Drop

 Morning at Leisure to explore the beauty of Dalhousie. Afternoon drive to Chakki Bank train station to board overnight train back to Delhi.
