Tour Overview
Austria is a German-speaking country in Central Europe, characterized by mountain villages, baroque architecture, Imperial history and rugged Alpine terrain. Vienna, its Danube River capital, is home to the Schönbrunn and Hofburg palaces. It has counted Mozart, Strauss and Freud among its residents. The country’s other notable regions include the northern Bohemian Forest, Traunsee Lake and eastern hillside vineyards.
Day 1: Arrive Vienna
Meet and transfer to hotel. Vienna – the World's music Capital and the largest city of Austria. Arrive and transfer to hotel by private car. Evening free at leisure and shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Vienna
Attractions: State Opera House,Museum of Fine Arts,Natural History Museum,Schonbrunn Palace,Danube Tower
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning proceed for Vienna city tour. Visit the Ringstrasse numerous magnificent buildings, such as the MAK, the State Opera House, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Natural History Museum, the cultural district the Museums Quartier, the former Habsburg winter residence, the Hofburg, the Parliament, the City Hall and the Burgtheater. The highlight of this tour will be a visit Schonbrunn Palace. In this former summer residence of the Habsburg family lived e.g. Maria Theresia. On the way back to the opera we pass by the Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of Prince Eugen, which houses the largest and the most precious Gustav Klimt collection in the world. Afternoon transfer to an amusement park for many, place of nostalgic dreams for some and the location of the Giant Ferris Wheel, one of Vienna's most famous symbols. Visit this landmark of Vienna in the footsteps of the immortal movie The Third Man or simply enjoy the view of the city from almost 200 feet up. One thing is certain – only when you have taken a ride on Riesenrad are you really in Vienna! After that proceed to Danube tower to enjoy a magnificent view over Vienna. Enjoy coffee while enjoying the terrific view take place in the café. Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Vienna – Salzburg
Attractions: Hohensalzburg Fortress,St. Peter Church,Mirabell Palace,Mozart Birthplace
After breakfast, check out and transfer to train station. Take a train to Salzburg. It is the playful lightness that makes Salzburg, the miniature metropolis, so distinctive. The enchanting silhouette of the Fortress, Cathedral and church steeples in this baroque city north of the Alps. So beautiful that it is a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. So famous that its attractions are among the most famous in the world. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Enroute enjoy orientation tour of Salzburg. Which includes great sights Hohensalzburg Fortress, St. Peter Church and Cemetery, Salzburg Cathedral, Residence Palace, Mozart Birthplace, Getreidegasse, Augustiner Brewery, Mirabell Palace and Gardens, Mozart's Residence. After the tour arrive at hotel and check in. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Salzburg
Attractions: Mirabell square,Grand Parterre,Sound of Music
Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to Salt mine tour.Observe the world's first salt gallery, the Celtic dioramas and the Celtic grave. Glide across the subterranean salt lake on a mystical mist of sound, and hear the fascinating story of the "Man in Salt". End your tour at Mirabell square. Visit Mirabell gardensoriented towards the Hohensalzburg Fortress and the Salzburger Dom cathedral. Visit Grand Parterre the oldest part of the Mirabell Gardens. Mirabellplatz Square, you will see a court with a Papagena fountain echoing the Papageno Fountain near the Pfeiffergasse. This court also hosts the Orangerie, which is still used as a greenhouse. After mirabell square proceed for Sound of Music tour. Enjoy visiting the breathtaking landscapes and locations where the famous musical, the Sound of Music, was filmed. The guide not only shows you the highlights of the film Sound of Music but also the historical and architectural landmarks in the city, as well as a part of the picturesque lake district. Return to the Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Salzburg – Zell am See (1hrs/30 min)
Attractions: Lake Zell
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Zell am see by private vehicle. Arrive and check in at hotel. Zell am see is the lovely town at Lake Zell. Experience lakes, mountains and everlasting ice at the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. One of Europe's clearest bathing lake the shores of Lake Zell provide holidaymakers with a place for taking a deep breath and enjoying the fresh air of Zell am See, a climatic health resort. Rest day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Zell am See
Breakfast at the hotel. Full day free for relaxation. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Zell am See – Munich (2hrs/15 min)
Attractions: Neuschwanstein Castle
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out and transfer to Munich by private vehicle. Enroute visit Neuschwanstein castle is one of the most popular of all the palaces and castles in Europe. The tour of the palas (the residential part of a medieval castle) begins with a view into the servants rooms with authentic oak furnishings on the first upper floor. The rooms on the second floor were never finished and today house a shop, a cafeteria and a multimedia room. The apartments and state rooms of the king are on the third and fourth floors. Arrive Munich and transfer to hotel. Check in at Hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8: Munich
Attractions: Isar Gate,Sendlinger Gate,Charles Gate,Palace of Justice,Caroline Square
Breakfast at the hotel. Today proceed for panoramic city tour of Munich. Visit Isar Gate, Victuals Market, Sendlinger Gate, Charles Gate, Palace of Justice, Caroline Square, King's Square, the Three Pinakothekes, Schwabing, Academy of Arts, Leopoldstreet, Victory Gate, Ludwigstreet, Munich University, Odeon's Square, Hall of Generals, Theatine Church, Chancery, House of Art, Angel of Peace, Bogenhausen, Maximilianeum, Court Brewery, New Court and the Opera. After tour visit BMW world of Munich. Explore the BMW Welt world of experience, production processes at the BMW Plant and a new display of both tradition and future trends at the BMW Museum. Return to the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Departure
Return Breakfast, day at leisure. Transfer to the airport for flight back home.
