After breakfast, check out and transfer to Lake Louise - start your journey in this picturesque hamlet west of Banff. First, soar to an elevation of 2,088 m (6,850 ft) on the Lake Louise Gondola for some of the best grizzly bear viewing opportunities in the Canadian Rockies. Then enjoy afternoon tea overlooking Lake Louise and the Victoria Glacier at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Then continue to Columbia Icefields - Continue north to cross the boundary between Banff and Jasper national parks. Now you’re into the Columbia Icefield. Plan to stop at the Glacier Discovery Centre and board an Ice Explorer that will take you up onto the Athabasca Glacier, where you can walk on ice up to 360 m (1,180 ft) thick. For stunning aerial views of glittering glaciers and rugged mountain peaks, take the five-minute shuttle from the Discovery Centre to the Glacier Skywalk, a glass-floored observation platform suspended 280 m (919 ft) over the glacier-formed Sunwapta Valley, get an unobstructed view of the surrounding glaciers. Continue along the Parkway to the Crowfoot Glacier, on the south end of Bow Lake. Watch for wildlife such as deer, moose, elk, bighorn sheep and mountain goats. Then move onto Peyto Lake - Your next quintessential Canadian Rockies photo opportunity is Peyto Lake, a few minutes further north. Take the easy 10-minute stroll along a paved trail to the viewpoint. It’s the highest elevation on the Parkway and offers spectacular views of the glacial valley and gorgeous lake below. And then proceed to Bow Lake - Just up the road is the best Bow Lake lookout where you can get an excellent shot of the historic Num-TiJah Lodge across the sparkling turquoise lake. Nestled on a shoreline of evergreens, the iconic log and stone chalet with crimson roof was built by legendary pioneer and mountaineer Jimmy Simpson. Finally proceed back to Lake Louise and overnight at Lake Louise hotel.

Then proceed for Explore Banff Tour – the resort town of Banff is set amongst the towering mountains, of Rundle Tunnel, Tunnel Mountain trail with views of Banff Springs Golf Course, although it is the smallest mountain in Banff, Tunnel Mountain offers spectacular views of the valley and panoramas over the town of Banff, views of Cascade and Norquay. Highlights include: Bow Falls: Not like your typical waterfalls, the Bow Falls is wide and short. You might feel some mist from the waterfalls during the mid-summer due to the high water levels. You can also see the valley that was eroded by glacier activity and the Bow river over the years. Then explore Tunnel Mountain Drive – a scenic route to drive around, from the view point you can see the town of Banff, visit the Surprise Corner - this is the spot where most of the famous pictures have been taken of the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel! As you drive the Tunnel Mountain road from town, you get to Surprise Corner where it opens up suddenly and you can see the Banff Springs Hotel on your right. You may have seen this view somewhere already. typically in a book or on a postcard. The best time to take pictures here is late morning or mid-day. Then see ‘Hoodoos’ - Hoodoos are composed sedimentary rock covered by harder rock that is harder to erode. Once softer sediment erodes rock needle, or tower like natural obstacles are left. To get there, drive up Tunnel Mountain road from the town. There are few guard rails so please be careful. Hoodoos can be seen below you down in the valley. You may see some people walking under the Hoodoos. There is no official trail to get there and you need good shoes that have excellent grip if you want to go. Then see the ‘Two Jack Viewpoint’. And proceed to ‘Lake Minnewanka’ (home of the Banff Crasher Squirrel), lies in the Banff National Park, take the Banff Lake Cruise open mid May – mid October, enjoy a 60 minutes scenic cruise, Enjoy entertaining and informative narration as you travel through the spectacular scenery of the Canadian Rockies. Then take a gentle ride in the Banff Gondola which gives outstanding panoramic views of Banff and the Canadian Rockies from 7486 feet. Enjoy the 8 minute ride to top of the world where there are dining options, hiking trails and observation decks at the Summit of Sulphur Mountain. Restaurants are open year round here so enjoy the views. Then transfer to Calgary. Arrive at Calgary and check in at your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Calgary.
