Tour Overview

South America is a continent in the Western Hemisphere, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere. Argentina is a massive South American nation with terrain encompassing Andes mountains, glacial lakes and Pampas grassland, the traditional grazing ground of its famed beef cattle. Buenos Aires is Argentina’s big, cosmopolitan capital city. Its center is the Plaza de Mayo, lined with stately 19th-century buildings including Casa Rosada, the iconic, balconied presidential palace. Other major attractions include Teatro Colón, a grand 1908 opera house with nearly 2,500 seats, and the modern MALBA museum, displaying Latin American art.

Day 1: Sao Paulo – Manaus - Amazon

On arrival at Sao Paulo Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the pier. After a short rest, visit to the home of local Amazonian residents with fishing tour. Evening tour by canoe with opportunity for Alligator Spotting. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2: Full Day Excursion – Meeting of the Waters

After buffet breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to see the Meeting of the Waters where the Negro River meets the Amazon River traveling together for miles without mixing their waters continue for dugout canoe trip through the flooded jungle, called Igarapes and Igapos where you will see the huge famous Victoria Regias (Amazon water lilies). Lunch will be served during the tour. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 3: Manaus – Rio De Janeiro

Attractions: Jungle Monkey

After buffet breakfast, visit the Jungle Monkey. Check out and transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio De Janeiro. On arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Half Day Tour to Corcovado & Beaches

Attractions: Corcovado Mountain,Beaches

After buffet breakfast, we proceed to Cosme Velho Station to board a cog-train for the ride through Tijuca Forest up Corcovado Mountain. The train ride takes 20 minutes and is a wonderful opportunity for a closer look at the forest's lush tropical vegetation and to enjoy scenic landscapes of the beaches and city. Disembarking at the top of Corcovado and then proceeding up the steps that lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands at 2,300 ft above sea level, a breathtaking view of the city of Rio de Janeiro, the Guanabara Bay, Sugar Loaf Mountain, the 9 mile Rio-Niteroi Bridge, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. After appreciating the breathtaking view unfolding below, you will descend by train. The tour proceeds passing by Rio's world-famous beaches. Return to the hotel and overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Day at Lesiure

After buffet breakfast, the day is at leisure to enjoy the beaches of Ipanema or Copacabana, the sidewalk cafes and Rio’s night life. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6: Rio De Janeiro – Iguazu (Brazilian Side)

After buffet breakfast, we proceed to International Airport for your flight to Iguazu. On arrival at Iguazu, meet and greet by our local representative and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel (Brazil Side).

Day 7: Half Day Iguassu Falls (Brazilian Side)

Attractions: Iguassu Falls

After buffet breakfast, we proceed for half day tour of Iguassu Falls, exploring of the never to be forgotten spectacle of 175 cataracts, miles of water hurtling over precipices higher than a 30-storey building, Walking along the 1.500 mts long paths following cascades and then walking along the catwalk that leads very close to the bottom of the Devil's Throat, you will enjoy magnificent views. There is also an elevator for those wishing to view and shoot the falls from the top. (including entrance fee to the National Park). Also you will visit the city of Puerto Iguassu and the point of the 3 frontiers (where Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil come together) at an optional cost. Afternoon at leisure to explore the area on your own or visit the Itaipu Dam at an optional cost. Overnight at Hotel (Argentina side).

Day 8: Iguazu – Buenos Aires

After buffet breakfast, transfer to Puerto Iguazu airport, take a flight to Buenos Aires. Arrive in Buenos Aires, Capital of Argentina and well known as the Paris of South America. Meet and greet by our local representative, transfer to hotel, Overnight at Hotel.

Day 9: Buenos Aires - Half Day City Tour

After buffet breakfast, we then proceed for the Half day city tour of South America’s most elegant capital. During this tour we will visit Avenida de Mayo that runs into the Plaza De Mayo, which is surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Government House), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo (first City Hall, built during Spanish rule). At the other end of Avenida de Mayo you find the Congress building. Then we continue to San Telmo, the best kept historical neighborhood and eldest district of Buenos Aires. Here we have time to stroll around Plaza Dorrego, where you find many antique shops. Next stop is La Boca, a most colorful area. At the famous street Caminito people will meet painters offering their Tango pictures. Passing Colon Theatre, one of the world's best known opera houses and the cultural pride of the portenos (as the inhabitants of Buenos Aires are commonly called), we continue to Palermo with its beautiful parks, the City Zoo, Botanical Garden, Argentine Horse Track and National Polo Fields. Palermo is beautiful for its artificial lakes. At the end of the tour we will visit Recoleta area, one of the city's glamorous spots. Afternoon is free to explore on your own. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 10: Buenos Aires – Lima – Cuzco – Half Day City Tour

Attractions: The Lima Cathedral,Temple of Santo Domingo

After buffet breakfast, we transfer you to the International Airport with the assistance of local guide. Take a flight to Lima. On arrival at Lima, take a connecting flight to Cuzco. On arrival at Cuzco meet and greet by our local representative and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, we proceed for the excursion of Cuzco The Capital of the Inka Empire, by combining archaeology and art with a visit to the city. Here we will enjoy the Lima Cathedral, built in the palace of Wiracocha and the Koricancha, now the Temple of Santo Domingo and built on the old Temple of the Sun. We then proceed to the outskirts of Cusco to visit four bordering ruins of Sacsayhuaman, a military fortress and astronomy observation area, Kenko, a temple where the world and its link with men are represented, Puka Pucara, a place that allows to control the routes and close territories of the area and Tambomachay, an important center of cult and worship to the water. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 11: Cuzco – Aguas Calientes – Cuzco

Attractions: Watch Tower,Temple Of Sun,The Citadel of Machu Picchu

After buffet breakfast, transfer to the train station to begin the full day tour to Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas. Departure by train to Aguas Calientes, where we will take a bus to the archaeological area considered one of the Wonders of the World. It is known as The Citadel of Machu Picchu. We will visit the entire archaeological area, including squares, temples, palaces, warehouses, factories, stairs and water sources. In addition, we will see the watch tower, the superior cemetery and ritual rock, temple of the sun, Intiwatana, sacred rock, temple of the three windows, principle temple, the doors, the sources, the springs, and the tombs. Return to Cusco by train and transfer from train station to the hotel. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 12: Cuzco – Lima

Attractions: The San Francisco Convent,Main Square,San Martin Square

After buffet breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, on arrival you will be met by your local representative and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon, we proceed for Half day city tour. This tour includes an exploration of Lima’s unique historical center and UNESCO World Heritage Site. With its majestic monuments and constructions, you will see such popular sites as the Lima Cathedral, the San Francisco Convent and its catacombs, Main Square, San Martin Square and the Rimac district. From there, we will continue through the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores where we can enjoy the Green Coast, with its beaches and bohemian district of Barranco. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 13: Return Home

After buffet breakfast, we transfer to the International airport for your flight back home.
