Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) is an island nation south of India in the Indian Ocean. Its diverse landscapes range from rainforest and arid plains to highlands and sandy beaches. It’s famed for its ancient Buddhist ruins, including the 5th-century citadel Sigiriya, with its palace and frescoes. The city of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka's ancient capital, has many ruins dating back more than 2,000 years. On the other side The Maldives is a tropical nation in the Indian Ocean composed of 26 ring-shaped atolls, which are made up of more than 1,000 coral islands. It’s known for its beaches, blue lagoons and extensive reefs. The capital, Malé, has a busy fish market, restaurants and shops on the main road, Majeedhee Magu, and 17th-century Hukuru Miskiy (also known as Friday Mosque) made of carved white coral.

Day 1: Colombo – Pinnawala - Kandy

Attractions: The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage,Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy

On arrival we transfer you to Pinnawala, The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans.Pinnawela started a scientific captive-breeding programme for elephants. The free movement of the herd enhanced the chances for respective individuals of both sexes to get together and mate. The nearby river played a dominant role in this regard, and in 1984, the first baby of Pinnawela was born. The success story of Pinnawela has drawn the attention of scientists from all over the world. A considerable number of books and research articles on Pinnawela have been published in several languages. The members of the Pinnawela herd have been filmed, videoed and photographed thousands of times by professionals; transfer from Pinnawala to Kandy. Drive around the Kandy lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798. Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. Also visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter witness a cultural show. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 2: Kandy – Peradeniya - Tea Plantation (Nuwara Eliya)

Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer from Kandy to Peradeniya. Peradeniya botanical garden was first built as a pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. Transfer from Peradeniya to Tea Plantation. Visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Transfer from Tea Plantation to Nuwara Eliya. Visit Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lankas most popular hill resort. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lankas tea country producing a significant share of the world s best tea. Sri Lanka s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole golf courses in South Asia. Overnight stay at Tea Factory Hotel.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Kitulgala - Colombo

Breakfast at Hotel. Transfer from Kandapola to Kitulgala. The Kelani River (the broadest river in Sri Lanka) flowing through Kitulgala was the main location where the Oscar winning movie Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed. Transfer from Kitulgala to Colombo. Do a city tour of Colombo. Other places of Colombo are the Pettah bazaar - where one can shop for bargain, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH)- an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People's Republic of China. Dinner and overnight stay hotel.

Day 4: Colombo – Male

After breakfast, we transfer to you to the airport for your flight to Male, on arrival we transfer you by speed boat to the resort. Rest of the day at leisure. Lunch at the hotel. Dinner & Overnight at the Resort.

Day 5: Male

After breakfast, the day is free to enjoy the water sport or enjoy the facilities offered by the resort. Lunch at the hotel. Dinner & Overnight at the Resort.

Day 6: Male

After breakfast, the day is free to explore on your own. Overnight at the Resort.

Day 7: Return

After breakfast proceed to Airport for your flight home.
