Detailed Itinerary

 
Day 1: Arrive Bangalore (By Flight@ TBA)

In Bangalore Airport. Our representative will assist you. Transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Check In and relax. Excursion to Lal Bagh Garden. This expanse of greenery, which was laid out by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan in the 18th century, is one of India's most beautiful botanical gardens. Within the Gardens there is a beautiful lake with water spread over an area of 1.5 sq km. Late evening visit to Ulsoor Lake.

Day 2: Bangalore Sightseeing

Begin your day with The Bangalore Palace. Built way back in 1887 by Chamaraja Wodeyar, the Bangalore Palace is inspired by the Windsor Castle. Drive to Bull or Nadi Temple. Among the oldest temples in the city, this is dedicated to Nandi, the wagon of Lord Shiva and ISKCON - Sri Radha Krishna-Chandra Mandir that attracts devotees and patrons from different parts of the world, especially those seeking spiritual learning. Afternoon visit to Nrityagram Dance Village just 35 from Bangalore, the award-winning Nrityagram Dance Village makes for a good day trip. The village offers regular dancing demonstrations, offering you a taste of Indian culture. Return to the city. Evening will be free for shopping.

Day 3: Bangalore - Hospet (328 Km - 06 Hours)

Post breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to your next destination – Hospet or Hosapete, is a city in Bellary District in central Karnataka. The city was built by Krishna Deva Raya in 1520 AD, one of the rulers of Vijayanagara in memory of his mother Nagalambika. While the city was named Nagalapura, people referred to the city as Hosa Pete meaning New City. Check-in to the hotel. Relax for the day.

Day 4: Hospet – Hampi Excursion

Full day excursion to Hampi. A village in northern Karnataka. It is located within the ruins of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara Empire. Predating the city of Vijayanagara, it continues to be an important religious centre, housing the Virupaksha Temple, as well as several other monuments belonging to the old city. The ruins are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, listed as the Group of Monuments at Hampi. Return to Hospet.

Day 5: Hospet - Badami (128 Km - 03 Hours)

Post breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to your next destination Badami. Formerly known as Vatapi, is a town and headquarters of a taluk by the same name, in the Bagalkot district of Karnataka. It was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. Arrive Badmi in the afternoon. Check into to the hotel and relax. Evening will be free at leisure. Relax for the day.

Day 6: Badami Sightseeing

Full day excursion of Badami. Cave Temple- The four cave temples of Badami have intricate carvings, citing the mythological events and religious teachings of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. Badami Fort - perched on the top of a hill along with two Shivalaya complexes. Visitors have to walk all the way up to the fort. King Pulakeshi II, a devotee of Lord Vishnu had built the two Shivalayas that dates back to the 5th century.The Agastya Lake surrounded by hills and reddish sandstone temple. The waters of this lake are said to possess healing powers too.

Day 7: Badami - Goa (230 Km - 06 Hours)

Checkout from the hotel in the morning & proceed to Goa. On arrival check-in to the hotel. Relax for the day. Overnight stay at Goa.

Day 8: Goa Sightseeing

Post breakfast full day excursion of Goa Beaches. The ideal combination of sun, sand, sea and surf is enough to send a person packing his bags and go on a short holiday. It becomes even better when that holiday is in one of the popular Goa Beaches. It has a long coastline that makes it the ideal state to have beaches. The beaches of Goa are the perfect destination for a relaxing vacation and holiday in India. Goa is a paradise for water sports lovers. The long coastal area offers wonderful opportunities to indulge in all sorts of water-sport activities. The Goa coasts have always appealed beach lovers and sports lovers to try on some new watery excitement.

Day 9: Goa Sightseeing

Post breakfast sightseeing of North Goa including visit to Fort Aguada. Built by the Portuguese in 1612 in order to protect Old Goa from enemy attacks. A spring within the fort supplied water to all the ships that called there. The other places covered include Saligao Church, Bodgeshwar Temple, Mapusa City (famous for its weekly Friday bazaar), Vagator Beach and Anjuna Beach.The trip rounds off with a visit to the Calangute Beach, known as the queen of Goa's beaches. These beaches attracts thousands of people every year from all parts of the world. You can also enjoy water sports and Para Gliding, Water Scooters, Jet Skies and Scuba Diving.

Day 10: Goa Sightseeing

Post Breakfast, full day sightseeing of South Goa including Miramar, Dona Paula, The Heritage Churches Basilica of Bom Jesus, the sacred relics of the patron saint of Goa, St. Francis Xavier are kept here. Se Cathedral, this is the largest cathedral in Asia. The Se Cathedral has five bells out of which one is the famous Golden Bell which is one the largest in the world. Mangueshi, this temple is more than 400 years old. A highlight of this temple is the multi-storied lamp tower and Shantadurga Temple. Evening will be at leisure.

Day 11: Goa Departure – Tour Ends

Post breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to Goa Airport to catch the flight back home. Here our company services will get end with lots of Enduring Memories....!!!!

    We used Monks and Monkeys Travels for a trip to Kolkata and Odisha in Jan 2014 and everything went without a hitch, although we travelled to several destinations, used trains and had different tour guides for different places. The tour went off pretty much as per the itinerary with the proposed hotels and program. Team was very responsive and reply quickly to emails. We'd use them again if we travelled to India.

    Everything was perfect! Our drivers were Masters,Mr. Tundup who drive our Bus in Ladakh Was Especially! The Programme of Our Tour was very rich & outstanding!The Tour around Ladakh(managed by Mr. Goms)was organised well thought-out and very cognitive.

    Having recently used Monks and Monkeys, I had reported that we had a bad experience at one of the hotels booked and had to leave that hotel and find alternate accommodation. It seems that the hotel Blue Bay may have also been misleading Monks and Monkeys in the type of accommodation being provided. Following that I am glad to say that the rest of the hotels were much better and Anju went out of her way to ensure that no further mishaps happened along the route and that our stay in India was an enjoyable one. As I am writing this my parents are still completing the last leg of their journey. . The fact that the MnM kept in touch with us went a long way in providing us the comfort that we needed in a foreign country. Although we were not able to recover the full amount of the accommodation I understand that MnM will ensure that they chance the hotel to recover the remaining funds. If I plan another trip to India I will consider using MnM again especially for the service provided by Anju. A few suggestions is to consider: 1) Ensure that you properly vet the hotels and ensure that hotels are confirmed well in advance 2) Check the journey times between destinations to make sure that misguided tourists (myself included) don't try to pack in too long journeys on one day with too small children. 3) We stayed in many hotels for one night along he route and this did not give enough time to appreciate what each town had, some advise to future travellers. 4) Check the facilities provided by the hotels and advise the client. Many hotels charged rates upto Rs500 for one days internet access. Had I know this I would have purchased a Sim Card to save on roaming rates and hotel internet rates.
